The palette and skirt are from Chiang Mai, Thailand. I felt at home there the moment the plane landed. I lived there for two months and spent almost every moment I wasn’t working wandering around the city, which is how I wound up with 440 photos and many elements to choose from for the illustrations.
The orange flower in the tree is from a tile on the outer wall of a restaurant in Dublin, Ireland.
The blue flower is from a tile on a wall somewhere in Spain.
The white flower is from a mural in the neighborhood Little India in Singapore.
