If You Ever Lose Hope...

With all due respect to the millions and billions of drawings in the world that depict the heart as red, in my opinion, the heart is brown. It’s soil, and we can sow hatred, fear, and cruelty or plant beauty, light and love. What’s one way that we plant these things? With the words we say. And when gardens grow and suns shine from within, flowers and light are sent back out into the world. The red in the heart, in all its many splendid shades, is the domain of the lips that surround the heart. All the lips in the illustrations are from the following photo, taken in Chiang Mai.
